I would love the small turbo diesel in my truck, would be amazing. I want to buy an old toyota pick up truck and restore it/convert it to diesel. By restore it I mean turn it into the most badass truck ever. If only I had a garage! When I buy land, I'm building the garage first.

I would love it if my Tacoma was a turbo diesel.

YOU HEAR THAT TOYOTA! You guys at japan should pull your heads out of your fucking asses and bring us the diesel engine for the Tacoma! There is a strong demand for a diesel!!! Why won't you give us that tasty diesel :(

You can tune a Turbo diesel so you have zero turbo lag to! Some Italian Off road SUV has a straight torque line tuned turbo. I would make it simple and no electronics, so it can run in water :D

Are you sure about that? Not doubting you but just wondering why VW manages to sell their TDI models in the US and all the big 3 American companies have diesel trucks available. If it is the EPA's fault that really sucks. I used to have a VW Jetta TDI and it was a fabulous automobile. 50 mpg and power to spare. I'd love to have a Toyota truck with a diesel engine. My Tacoma pulls my boat without too much trouble but I'll bet it would really snatch that thing up the boat ramp with a diesel.

Big tires, big lift, Lots of stuff's.
I dont know I just think there is a bit of goofy styling with the hilux. Not saying that its bad the turbo diesel would be sick though other than that I dont think I would chose it over my Tacoma.
