Most are, some are new orders. Rivian seems to use some weird delivery priority math they use to decide who gets what and when.

Got it. Yea I still love these. I'll be watching how they evolve over time.

Has Rivian addressed the "map" issue? And has vampire drain improved with the newer ones? And or any other major changes to the current vehicles over the 2022s?

If you have a preorder from Rivian and you are waiting for your delivery window ask to get access to the R1 Shop and you may find exactly (or very close to) what you are looking for available for delivery in 6-8 weeks, or sooner. Even dual motors are on there, although very limited.

Vettes get great gas mileage for what they are. Buddy’s gets low 30s with his.

Annnnd really Rivians are lifestyle trucks at best, and should be priced accordingly. Can spend less and actually haul a decent camper and tow a sizable trailer without having to stop every 100 miles or so…

$100K on the table buys me this, plus a Four Wheel Camper, a 6x12 cargo trailer….touch more cash a dirt bike or two to put in said trailer.

You’re not wrong. The Rivian is absolutely a jack of many trades but not all. Towing is really its biggest limiting factor but since the vast majority (~70%) of truck owners never hitch a trailer it’s not a factor for most.

Do know that customers are paying largely for R&D cost. The amount of work and finances that goes into creating a startup automobile is absolutely mind boggling.

That said, the Rivian is impractical for most of the buying public.

Other than the high cost I’d say it’s completely practical for most of the buying public.

Oh yeah, more than enough posers out there to justify it. Hell, just look at Tacoma’s! ;) :D

The Fisker Alaska EV truck is going to stir up the EV truck market. It’s supposed to start at $45K. That actually makes financial sense to own after tax rebates and savings on fuel.

What version do you get for $45k?

CyberTruck looks like it’s more R1T size than Ford Lightning size. Final production specs, and range with/without a trailer should be soon.

Did you get out of your truck to take that pic or is it not your pic? I see the Rivian door handle ejected.3

I didn’t take the pic but that is what the person that took the pic did

That rear view reminds me of a Pontiac Aztec.

Other than that they both look ridiculous. The F-150 wrapped CT didn't look bad, except for those weird angles that looked like parts of the truck had been cut off.

Sloped rear window. Black accent strip with red tail lights in the corners.
