Doesn’t really matter what you think. 119,000 Aztec’s were sold over the total production. There are over 10X that number in Cybertruck preorders. Seems like the market has spoken.

Lol no one drives a CT. Model Y looks more like an Aztec to me. Maybe wrapping a CT like a traditional truck will become popular, just wrap it in the manufacture of your choice design and roll with it. Could even wrap it as a Square Body Chevy. Those angled roof lines just look weird.

The only reason no one drives a CT is that it isn’t on sale to consumers. Also no one drives a 2024 Tacoma.

Is it wrong that I’m waiting for a TE37 variant for my R1S?

Might look cool, but it sounds so corny. Not only do you need to show the world you drive an electric pick up, but that electric pick up also needs wheels and mud tires.

It sounds like…just about nothing. It’s no different than half this forum who swap out perfectly good wheels and tires for something new and shiny with mud tires mounted.

It’s the exact opposite of that. Adding wheels to an EV typically detracts from range because the OEM wheels tend to have some aero design.

Won't look bad with the suspension at a moderate height. The R1T all up in the air just looks wrong.

Yeah it's very unpractical to install heavy wheels and add tires with more rolling resistance on a electric truck. I don't think it enhances the appearance at all, and defeats the purpose of driving an electric. I have yet to see it but, why would anyone put 40's on a Jeep 4xe?

The Jeep is a bad example, it only has a 20 mile electric range to begin with.

Toyota trucks atleast look good when they are lifted and get larger tires. Toyota even builds them like that from the factory.

Air suspension precludes tires that are larger than the wheel wells.

It's a bad example of a phev to start with. It's a Jeep Wrangler. Jeep was probably the 1st vehicle that people started lifting and putting huge tires on. Odd choice for an electrified platform. Wrangler was and probably still is a sales leader for Stellantis, but agreeing to electrify the Wrangler platform? Homer Simpson would veto that decision.

I’d rather buy a truck from a company that’s been building trucks for 50 years, rather than 50 weeks. The way loads are place in or on the truck can cause stresses on the truck bed.

I beat mine up like a truck and had no issues. It’s like there’s a whole engineering team and years of prototype testing behind this thing before it entered production.

A plus is that Rivian probably knows how to build a frame that doesn’t rust out unlike Toyota’s 50 years of building trucks.

Maybe you are correct. The frame rust problems that Tacos had was dealt with via a huge recall. I haven’t seen a problem with rusted Toyota frames.

DeLoreans have rust-free frames, but spare parts are a different matter.

You must not have looked very hard for the rusty frames. I have two in my driveway if you want to take a look. 2014 Tacoma and a 2017 4Runner. Both are pretty bad.

Almost as though new startups head hunt their team from existing (legacy) automakers. So that 50 year old company is forced to replace their team with new, possibly inexperienced talent. Don’t confuse how long a company has been in business for how long the decision makers have been doing their job(s).
