So I assume you sold your Taco? I've had the Taco 15yrs so that is why it's difficult to let it go

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I did, but I had the wife do it while I was in Turkey for a year. You might as well keep the taco then and just get the tundra to go with it.

No offense, but your mods are worth a sum total of $0. You may find someone to pay that premium, but prob not. The miles are a good selling point on a first gen though.

Carmax is gonna rape you on the listing, but $10ish for that Tacoma is a solid deal if you market is anything like Utah. I sold my 02 Prerunner for $9500 and I could have probably gotten a little more.

2019 4runner has a 5k lb tow capacity. My 2014 tundra 4x4 had a 9800 lb tow capacity. Not even remotely close to the same. First gen access cabs like my 03 V6 5 speed had a harder time towing than either of them would, but still has a 5k lb capacity. Where did you get your "facts" from?

No worries lol. Towing is a reason to go full size but even then, there's far better options that do the rest better.

if you really want the tundra, don't trade-in your tacoma. Sell it then get the tundra

When trading a car in, the dealer always gives you the lowest price possible for it and that sucks, and it is bordeline insulting sometimes...

payload is a different spec than towing capacity
e/ 3/4 ton can pull twice as much as a tundra

Dealers use Manheim to value trade in vehicles. KBB and NADA or ballpark figures that can be way off. Give me some details and I can get you some pricing

@OP: At the end of the day, if the Tundra fulfills your truck needs for passenger/towing/cargo needs, like the power, and don't mind the width or the lower MPG, I would say go for it! Keep the Tacoma, sell it off privately at your price, and avoid the loss on trading it in. I thought of getting the Tundra last year, but am not sure if I want the bigger engine, more power, more width, lower MPG, and bigger/hauling capability that a larger truck has to offer.

    This.

Just because the Tundra and the 2500 have similar outside dimensions, they aren't in the same class.

Toyota has never wanted to get into the full size heavy duty market. Dodge and others have that market cornered already.
