Agreed the Tacoma looks tougher and more agressive then the Tundra. The tundra also needs a smaller grill. The grill doesn’t need to be part of the hood.

It's a business. If a product doesn't sell, stop producing it. Little commuter car sales are sucking for most all manuf. Trucks and SUV's are hot. Why wouldn't they do this? They can always vamp up production again if gas prices surge.

I am not a Fanboi, but Toyota has never given me a issue, now Jeeps, Fords, Chevy's have ALL given me issues, cost me good money, or have left me stranded. Jeep - oil sensor just "broke" around 22 or 25k (cannot remeber) CEL came on jeep stopped in the middle of Rt 1 in CT. Fords, 2006 F-150 w/ ~42k - replaced both axel seals, could NEVER tack down why the CEL was on, etc.. Chevy - WAY to long for the list water pumps, , fule pump, in the shop all the damn time, 2002 Suburban would just not start randomly - hence no GM products left in the family, sad but true. So Far, Toyota has been perfect for us, but time will tell.

I thought it was an OK comparison, kind of expected them to rag on the Taco, but it held it's own. I'm sure there's plenty of people making the comparison themselves. For me, I couldn't justify the cost, poor mileage and how much harder to drive it was in city traffic. The Taco is better than my F150 at all those.

Exactly. Motor still running @200k doesn't do you any good if the frame is gone. Call me crazy, but I'd like a Toyota motor in a us truck frame. My 3rd gen 2 years old and already looking a little worse for the wear.

    Have you looked into OVtune?
It doesn't make the truck a race car, but that exact problem has been solved for me and many others.

This is a known software issue with the torque converter. I can tell you that the OVtune that I just got 100% corrected this issue. I resisted the urge to upgrade until a few weeks ago and I honestly wish I would have done it as my first mod.

    Cool, whats it for? :bananadead:

FACK. Missed it. Well I can't really say how the tune works for the manual guys, but definitely no torque converter. hahaha

Thanks for making me look stupid, Frank.

    No reality.
If you want to talk about real issues lets talk about rollaway problems on Ford trucks when parked.
    http://fortune.com/2018/04/06/ford-f-150-trucks-recalled/
    Faulty transmission gears.
    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/06/for...xpeditions-for-faulty-transmission-gears.html
And the list goes on. Thoese are REAL problems. Reality.

Now we can beer talk about Tacoma water leak in a brake light on some or a seal on a differential on a few that might weep if you want also.:rofl:
Oh then there is the howling lca holes that are plugged for 2 cents. Forgive me for forgetting the reality of things.
