    Just didn't seem significant enough to me based on the different weight and size.

    2016 Tacoma TRD Offroad Black Access Cab
    2016 Tacoma V6 automatic: 13 MPG, slightly more going downhill with favorable winds. Rarely shifts into 5th, not sure if there really is a sixth gear....

    At California highway speeds with cruise control on I find the truck downshifting to 3rd, up to forth, slippage, into 5th for a split second and back to 4th.

    The mileage difference is significant, especially when you compare the Tundra to other full-size trucks. It really eats gas in relation to what it can do.

    Even 1mpg difference matters over the course of time.
