I wish it came with one, like the older Taco's, but I haven't had a need yet!

They really should put it in the TRD Pro so they're competing more directly with the ZR2.

Absolutely! Sometimes having the right traction aid can keep you from having to choose a more dangerous, but manageable line or having to use speed instead of crawling. Sometimes it can mean keeping on or turning around.

Was watching the vid and wondering why the driver wasn't engaging MTS because clearly the front was full open.... Too bad, that would have been a great demonstration of the usefullness of MTS.

I got the feeling the ZR2 was supposed to win.

"Just having fun with friends looking for snow to offroad in and find out how important a front locker is"

Also driving skill goes a long way. Also spending money on tires vs fancy graphics.

Although zeke1 said "didn't have a working MTS", so I wonder if he had personal knowledge of the non-functioning MTS in the video? Possibly ABS disabled (and thus no MTS)?

I'll be doing an abs disable on mine through a relay controlled by the switchpro, but the biggest issue I have with that is it will disable MTS until abs is again activated and truck cycled back off and on again to clear abs fault. So instead of just switching to 4lo for a tough section and engaging MTS, now have to throw a vehicle re-start in there too. Kind of a pain, but hoping to find a work around. Very much dislike ABS off road, but still surely want MTS capability without having to jump through the re-start truck hoop.

As for the rest of it, let's see what kind of rattle trap POS that ZR2 is in 5 years. But at least it will have a factory front locker!

They are not true sliders on the ZR2, only bolted to the body. If you use these as sliders you will damage the body.

So true. The "sliders" that come on Jeep Rubicons are the same way, body mounted. If you actually wheel your vehicle these will have to be replaced anyway.
