Tacoma wave

Is there a Tacoma salute/wave?

 

We're not that exclusive.

I'd venture 85+% of all owners are neither enthusiasts or even know of this forum.

 

Just give them all a California Howdy.

 

I started one in my hometown why not I wave to all tacos

 

I wanted to when I got mine.

But then I noticed how many there were and eventually my arm would fall off or I’d get discouraged from people just not caring. Lol

As someone said, a lot of Tacoma owners just don’t care about Taco Love or this forum.

 

How about a handshake?

 

Closest I’m going is a silent nod by parking next to a Tacoma if I can. Or 4Runner.

 

A 3rd gen owner let me merge in front of him the other day, I waved then.

 

I drive in Eldersburg/Sykesville quite a bit an no one has waved at me

 

The only Tacomas I see waving at me are the modded ones. Although an occasional modded Jeep and Chevy has thrown me an unprovoked wave. Sometimes i throw a wave at other Jeeps not realizing I'm not driving the TJ that day. Surprisingly, most wave back.

 

There's a couple cherried-out tacos in my area, we wave. All the others are retirees or women who do not seem to care about my friendly waving.

 

i wave to other vettes and bikes. Thats enough for me.

 

I annoy my girlfriend by saying "hi taco buddy" everytime I drive by a fellow taco, no wave though

As mentioned, it seems the only ones who acknowledge a wave or nod of the head are those with modded Tacos. Most others ignore you or give you a strange look.
If you're displaying a TacomeWorld decal or an OBT decal I personally feel you should acknowledge a wave or head nod.

 

I live in New Jersey, everyone is too angry to wave.

 

Only Car/Truck people have a real appreciation for what kind of vehicle they drive. The rest are just vehicle operators. They'd almost operate anything with 4 tires and a steering wheel.

 

I give the super cool/macho finger wave from the steering wheel of my Tacoma to other Tacomas. I get an estimated 5% or below response rate.

I do the same in my Mustang for an estimated 85% response rate.

When i had my Jeep. Only the true Jeepers would wave. I used to wave at all the jeeps . But then you got soccer moms having no idea why you’re waving at them
I do miss my jeep but it wasn’t built very well
