Today I washed my camper. After I washed it I was backing the trailer up my short, steep drive into my garage and I apparently swung wide. I didn't realize until I gave it some gas and saw bits of my lawn fly past my driver's window.

Ironically, the neighbor with another Tacoma witnessed all of this and gave me a shit-eating thumbs up as he drove by laughing.

That's the closest I ever got to a Tacoma wave. I'm not on board with it.

    Mostly dust and dirt.
Here in California there a too many Tacomas for waving.
Same thing for motorcycles but most people still do it.

This was brought up and squashed several weeks ago. I thought this was the same thread brought back from the dead until I opened it.
I’m pretty sure the answer was unanimously, nope.

Haven't seen a wave per say, but have noticed others looking at my truck as I look at theirs. Does that count?

Weeks ago. Months ago. Years ago. And if you look back far enough, it was even brought up 2nd generations ago, and probably before that. Toyota people aren’t jeep people. Jeep people are those Ned Flanders types that like to smile and wave and talk about ham radio. Toyota people aren’t like that.

this is a cartoon representation of the vast chasm that separates corny ass jeep owners who wave and Tacoma owners who pay their respects stoically as you pass
