Luckily my 6 yr old is the size of a 6 yr old. I have no reason to sit in my back seat.

I owe nothing on my '15 and have the remainder of an 8yr/125k Platinum $0 deductible warranty left on it. She's in great condition and only has 35k on her. So she won't going anywhere for quite sometime.

That said....if something happened to her and I was suddenly in the market for a new truck? Yes, I would buy one. Probably an SR or maybe an SR5 2wd.

    Ah.

    Well it's cramped. :D

The cab is extremely tight outside of the front seats, which are sized pretty nice. The caveat is, 60% of the back seat space is making room for that front seat to be comfortable.

Maybe? I've had the Toyota cool-aide, but I'm kinda feeling the urge for a 4Runner next though.

Oh, good, thought for a second they would only give you $13.5 for one of the 2016s on recall!

Don't see myself owning anything other than a Taco. This is #3. Sold a 96 XtraCab for an 03 Double Cab to make room for two car seats. Sold the Double Cab and eventually picked up an 07 Z71. The space in the Chevy was nice, but the mpg sucked -- even with the multi-displacement function. Went through two front wheel bearing/hub assemblies on the Chevy. Was down to one speaker on the factory radio. Cruise control didn't work when it was cold. Hood had to be repainted. Burned (not leaked) nearly a quart of oil between oil changes. . .
As for the space in the Taco, it is not our primary family vehicle. We have a 12 4Runner for that, but the Taco will do in a pinch. It will tow my 17' Sea Hunt and even pulls the double axle trailer with John Deere 3005 and attachments. . .

Will I have another Taco? Honestly don't think so. I have three right now and I can only drive one at a time.

I drove two fords before my tacoma. Both had problems. I owned a '94 standard cab Toyota 2wd pickup back in the late 90s and it was flawless. I've wanted a Tacoma since they came out. So, here I am. 3 weeks ago I bought a 2008 SR5 TRD OR DCSB in indigo ink. I love it. I'll keep it until it falls apart. Would I buy a new 3rd gen? Probably not. I had one for a day as a loaner and immediately noticed the transmission searching for gears. I was happy to have my truck back.

To everyone complaining about the 3rd gens hunting for gears, you might as well get used to it, because they're all that way now. The 8 speed in the Chevys are even worse, and now GM and Ford are going to 10 speeds, imagine how bad that'll be. At least they haven't decided to stick a CVT in there, yet.

A CVT would actually make "searching" for gears much better, since it can keep providing power while changing ratios.

Really like my 2015. It's all I need in a truck and a daily driver. However, if I were going to buy a new vehicle tomorrow, then I'd be looking at either a Land Cruiser or a half ton truck. I'd just like to have a little more room.
