I clean me windshield everyday. Yesterday morning I go into the garage and clean the windshield. I live in the country and bugs can be bad. I see a bubble in the black strip along the top of the glass on the passenger side. You cannot see it from the inside. Long story short I go to the dealership and yes they are covering it. They are concerned it may get worse, so let's replace it. Now the bad news is they are 850 windshields on back order. I tried taking a pic but it's hard to capture on camera.

Not surprised glad they are covering it under warranty. Sucks you have to take time to go to the dealer for these things. I have made a ton of trips to dealer for crap that shouldn’t be breaking on the truck. Wish they would reimburse me for the time spent waiting and commuting back and forth.

I know right. Thank goodness they are around the corner and open at 7am. A good friend of the family ownes the dealership so that helps. But the windshield has a bubble in it, and cannot be felt at all. One service writtw tried saying it was scratched when it was on the assembly line. Funny thing, I said it just surfaced like a bit over night. He said oh maybe it's a chip. I said come on you cannot feel it. Its a perfectly round bubble. Not going to work. I said it needs to be replaced. The other writer agreed.

I was thinking about that. It was discussed at the time. If it happens, it will go back. I just don't want it to get worse. The company that does the install is awesome and has a great reputation.

I had a ram 1500 that had a click in the steering wheel. The tech said it was the clock spring and he could replace it but it could keep doing it. I told him I would keep brining it back until it’s fixed, he shut up after that

So if the windshield makes a whistle noise or leaks, keep taking it back

My windshield has the same bubble. Next appointment I'll have them swap it out. It definitely wasn't there, then surfaced about 5 months after I purchased.

I would leave it alone as well; unless your warrantee is about up/still I would seriously think about it. Don't expect perfection in anything, close is good.

7000 miles. I don't want it to spread or get more. I will get it fixed, if they screw it up it will be fixed until they get it right. Not intispating any issues, but they can pop up.
