Tacoma with an attitude

I'm going to start paying more attention to this subject matter...and turn the radio down a bit. lol

If I jog my memory, there are times she seems anxious to get going.

I let the instrument panel complete its display before I'm ready to put it in "D".

 

A wise old man once warned me to never feed a Gen3 low octane or anything less than top tier fuel after midnight. Also mentioned to never get them wet, but I disregarded that one.

 

Well I will say they do run better on top tier fuel and 93 octane . Its not my imagination

 

I wholeheartedly expected to walk into this thread seeing a Tacoma with an angry grill and raptor lights.

Disappointed.

They do that when they are hungry, or you like other trucks pics on instragram.

 

My 2007 Ranger was like that. My taco, I haven’t really noticed anything like that.

My taco does feel a bit more “rough” when the AC is on.

I Think the 3.5 hates when the a/c is on lol steals power from an already underpowered engine lol

 

Not sure about “underpowered” but I do feel my RPMs change when I have AC on and it takes a bit more precision to make those smooth shifts.

 

one 100 % agreed. Does not only belong to Tacoma , a few other vehicles do the same in the last few years , I say it's the fuel mixtures and additives .

 

Easy solution... Just wash your truck every day. Because we all know how much better ANYthing runs after you've washed it.

I think it’s an air temp related thing. My truck been running stronger and better mpg since the cold weather months. Might could be but I ain’t no engine specialist

 

No. My 2nd gen drives the same every day. That’s why I have it.
