Quick question, my 2014 has the tow package and on the sticker it says the truck has sway control... would I still need a sway control hitch or would I be ok?

Definitely not planning on doing 80+ though :p

What do you think is inside of an automatic? You guessed it clutches! Automatics worst night mare heat. Best way to get them hot pull a heavy load.

When I towed this trailer, 4000lbs. I used a Reese weight distributing hitch with friction sway control. Felt real stable even in high cross winds and no jouncing on rough roads. I towed the trailer in for service one day without the Reese hitch and it felt like a spring board with the rear of the truck pitching up and down. I would recommend the wd/sway hitch for 3000lb+ trailers. I added air bags and now tow an Aliner, 2300lb. loaded, and don't use the wd/sway hitch and it feels fine.

An 8300lb truck pulling 8000lbs is equally dumb? ........ Or not..... Clearly you've never done so.
