Tacoma without a manual transmission....

Stopped by my local Toyota Dealership to check out the new Tacomas and possibly buy a new truck.
I found out that you can only buy a new Tacoma with the 4 cylinder with automatic transmission. Manual trans is only offered with the 4 wheel drive models.

Looks like Nissan still offers the manual transmission with their base model Frontier S models.

I think Toyota is making a mistake by not offering a manual transmission even if you have to order it....

I've enjoyed my 4 cylinder engine 2.4 first year Tacaoma with manual transmission....

 

Same with:

leather only in limited
locker only in trd OR
no manual in limited
no JBL with manual

all of those should be standalone options that can be applied to any model with any combination :/

 

4 cyl 4wd MT =Yes
4 cyl 2wd MT =No

 

4 cyl 2wd MT = No purchase Toyota...

 

Toyota's options are strange nonetheless. Sucks, but what can you do besides take your business elsewhere...
