Did a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Cast Iron Pizza on the Jim Bowie.

I cooked the ground beef and bacon in PF Spicy. My homemade BBQ sauces are usually a little too thin and vinegary for something like this so I went with a Sweet Baby Ray’s base. Topped with onions and cheese and served with pickles on the side it ended up better than I even hoped!

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
Here we go again, just posted my submission for the open category so I might as well post here as well. I don't know why I was thinking waiting would be a benefit since a bunch of you guys are way more creative and experienced than I am but I'm still pretty happy with what I came up with. Smoked/reverse seared pork chops with OG meat massage done on the Weber kettle and seared on the gas grill. Side of bacon and brown sugar Brussels sprouts made for a nice combo.

I also saved a couple chops after the smoke and heated them up for breakfast a couple days later but I think the original plan was better for the contest.

Here is mine before I forget. Today I did three racks of St. Louis ribs and a sirloin tip roast that I had laying in the freezer. All used a 50/50 combo of PF spicy and regular. I figured if I chop the roast up and can use it for tacos later this week. Ribs turned out great for dinner tonight!

Just had stuff come up. Have a brisket, shoulder, ham, and loin in the fridge. Was going to do a sampler plate. No way it was happening today, and it rained yesterday. Oh well.

Lady’s and gentlemen, I bring you various sausages, skewered, spiral sliced, and smoked over apple wood after ample application of Meat Massage.

We have Italian sausage, Nathan's hot dog, and a beef kielbasa, two each. Smoked for one hour, then seared to temp.

After doing this, i will now prepare all sausages in this manner. Slicing got smoke throughout much better than without.

According to the rules in 1st post, the deadline has already happened..states "midnight on July 7" which has already happened! Of course this was not intended that way, so I'm sure today's entries are valid too....just sayin'...gotta stir the pot occasionally.

Kinda like all the people who incorrectly celebrated the new millennium on the night of December 31, 1999.
