    That pic right now on the site of the truck going through the water makes me cringe because I have had a couple of friends fry their alternator doing that exact same thing! I have a friend right now trying to find a way to protect it from so much water. If I remember correctly my old Toyota had the alt mounted higher up. :)

    Downey front skid, Trail Gear U-Bolt flip, Toytec AAL, Total Chaos UCA's, Bilstein 5100's x4 + Eibach adjustable coils, Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers, Custom Rear bumper, TRD OffRoad front tow hook, TRD Trail Team wheels, Federal Couragia M/T 265's, ARB rear locker + on board air (CKMA12), TRD shift knob, Alpine W205, TRD seat covers, Tom Woods 1 Piece drive shaft, Powermaster D2700, Stubbs HD-SKO Sliders.
    The only thing that ended up going wrong from that trip was a couple of idle pulleys that got mud in them from a pit immediately behind that water crossing. It was an easy fix though. Release tensioner, remove bad pulleys, install new pulleys.

    water by itself wouldnt do so much harm to the alt i dont think...but if the intake decided to suck some in...he'd have been in bad shape

    now...muddy water...that can be bad for an alt...i fried mine a couple weeks ago via mud...

    damb i like mud and everything but flying threw big water/muddy water,no way.gets pricey doing that.
