Hey people of Tacoma world. I have a 2011 trd sport access cab. I have a 4 inch tuff country lift kit with 33 in super swamper ssr's. They rub whenever I cut the wheel all the way. Ever since I have put this lift and tires on, my steering wheel shakes like crazy and my truck rides terrible. I was wondering if it is the lift kit or tires causing it? I have already balanced the tires and aligned everything.

Most likely the lift kit. I'm not very familiar with Tuff Country lifts but they use spacers and blocks to get the full 4" right? Those are usually frowned upon for ride quality. 3" (or less) is the sweet spot for Tacoma lifts, seems like anything over that usually causes problems for people.

Welcome!! If you want to reduce rubbing, look into a CMC (cab mount chop). It's where part of the cab mount is cut, and a new plate is welded on. gives another inch or two of clearance.

Yes, they do use blocks and spacers. What brand of lift kits do you recommend I look into?

Look at @HeadStrong Off-Road website. You can go as inexpensive or as expensive as you want. Old Man Emu, Bilstein, Toytec, are all good quality while not breaking the bank.

Billets 5100s (set to 0") and Old Man Emu 881 coils up front gave me about 1.5" of lift, 5100s with Headstrong Offload's 3 leaf add-a-leaf springs in the rear gave me about 2.5" in the back. Ride quality is great, if a little stiff in the back. I may go back and remove the overload leaf to level it out a little more and make it less stiff.

5100s are a popular lift around here, but if you're looking for something more tuned for performance and able to handle off-road abuse you'll want to look into something like Icon or King setups.

www.headstrongoffroad.com is a great site to browse quality suspension kits

I prefer buy nothing and cry multiple times because I can't afford everything I want all at once. Life is so unfair.

Get dumped by your girlfriend, put in overtime at work 'cause you don't want to go home, and ask the bossman for a raise. That's what I did last month, all of the sudden I've got mod money

Hey I was wondering if it is possible for me to get some bilstein shocks that fit my lift. I have a 4 inch strut spacer on the front and a 2 inch block in the rear. If it is possible, what size should I get?
