They are the G2s. I’ve had them in the past, but G1s and on a Jeep, but they were decent. Wet roads they were iffy. These ones seem to be pretty good even at half tread. Not hard and loud. That’s the problem with the Ironmans, half tread and less, they are hard as a rock.

    Hey thanks for hanging around!

It keeps me thinking, and busy. I can’t not build/ tinker with things. I’ll go nuts.

Little update on my EXPERIENCE with 37s

    Love them .

They rub slightly on the top of the inner fender, easy fix. Cut out and fill in with metal. Seal up and good to go. My firewall is already cut and sealed up. Cab mount- almost non existing. I’ll do a relocate, might make my own instead of spending $200 on some. Truck is far more capable, spent the weekend wheeling with jeeps on 37s-40s. Hit all the same lines they did and only had to pull line one time, not the trucks fault, laying on frame not much else I can do.

Will I still do a sas? Yes. Will it be ungodly tall and top heavy asf? No. Lower the better, too much flex is baddd.

Here is full stuff, on bumps, going downhill (a lot of weight is pushing the front end down)

Will I rub more on m/ts? Yes. These tires were a last ditch effort to have some tread before this last outing. They worked fine though. 37 12.5 17 Nitto terra grapplers G2.

The rear is a different story, without the factory bed, I rub nothing. So I have no issues but if you plan on doing 37s you may have to move/ cut/ trim some things.

I’ll probably do a video on my YouTube channel- Tacomadad, in a week or so.

That’s about what I’m shooting for. I love seeing Jeep guys who shove the longest travel shit they can and they are always rubbing body cause they get to a certain point where their flex is too much. I like to keep it planted as much as I can but when the body rolls so much it gets to be uncontrollable.

I’d like to do a link setup on the rear of mine too, like yours. But that’ll come after the sas.

For sure. I actually wanted to pick your brain on that part. Since I haven’t seen anyone else do it.

Was actually gonna ask you too, if you would/ can fab the brackets up for the links, trac bar, mounts etc for the sas. I could attempt it but don’t have access to a plasma or drill press atm. It would be nice to not have to spend a bunch of time working on that, focus more on the link geometry, and axle setup.

Yeah, that’s really the only option without relocating right?

It’s what all Tacoma owners should really be talking about.

    And cut everything!

Yeah rear. That’s what I thought. If I relocated it would have to be a really nice tank in the bed, which until later is not in the plan lol

Front would be nice to be 4 linked, if possible. That’s what I was hoping/ planning to do.

Orrr, you think there’s any benefit to a radius arm setup?

The more I crawl under it and look the more I question how it’ll be setup and work properly. I’d like to have an actual steering box setup, but the rad is massive on these things.
