I love watching spiders, but my wife is terrified of them. Thankfully I have plenty of them outside my house to watch. She has actually come a long way since we have been together. There’s one that lives near my back door that builds a web every evening around the porch light, and she has walked by it every day for a few weeks now. A few years ago, she probably would have burned the house down.

My wife hated it when I acquired my first few tarantulas but now she actually has a few favorites. :D The only one she really still hates is the one that burrows into the ground. I guess burrows are creepy. :D

Thinking about it. After 5 years and 135,XXX miles on the original battery I had to use a jump box for the first time yesterday morning. There was a lot of fuzzy white and blue corrosion on the negative terminal and some on the positive. No other issues starting through the rest of the day, so I cleaned the majority of the corrosion off last night, but it got me thinking about replacing them. Before cleaning I had been seeing around 13.1-13.2 Volts at Highway speed. Now that I have cleaned all of the corrosion off I'm seeing 13.6-13.8 Volts at highway speed.

Those terminals have some bad reviews saying that the terminals broke when they were torqued down. I knew that you had mentioned it at one point and I was wondering if you had gone through with the swap to see how they worked for you.

For that bad review I bet someone just put way too much torque on that thing.

That's the first think I do to any vehicle. Suggest rewiring put some better wire on it. I run triple ot wire for any hot to starter or ground.

The auto trans for the 2nd gens doesn't have a dipstick but I think the manuals do. I don't like the whole "sealed transmission" thing. Just makes it more of a PITA for us do-it-yourselfers to maintain our trucks.

So I’ve obviously been hiding under a rock or something. When did you get the new wheels and tires, look good? So what bumper did you get?

I have a manual and have no idea if I have a dipstick. I don’t think so, but then again I’ve never looked for it.

Tires are the same but I got the wheels a few weeks ago. Love them! No bumper just yet.

you check your fluid level by removing the upper plug. You should ba at least able to touch it with your finger. I would think t hat was pretty standard.
