I was interested in a new TRD Pro Tacoma but I'm getting worried about the frame issue that the older Tacoma's have. From reading these forums I noticed that even the 2nd gens are starting to show serious frame rot issues. Has Toyota taken care of this problem or does this seem to still be an issue?? I looked at a used 2012 Baja and couldn't believe the amount of rust on the fox shocks and associated hardware -- truck only has 18k miles. Is Toyota not the company they use to be? Is Toyota still using the same supplier for these frames?

This is keeping me from buying a Tacoma. I really love Toyota but they need to step it up or they will lose life long customers.

There is no way I am I going to pay $3x,xxx for a truck that is having these type of issues. Frame replacement or not I don't want to deal with it.
