i rinsed out the tub and flushed the toilet the next morning once I got over the dry-heaving. Ate some BAD chicken wings at Route 66 a restaurant in LAX when I used to travel for work non-stop

LOL I'm actually staying at a Hampton right now in Oklahoma, visiting inlaws....fuck I hate my inlaws. Last time I ever follow anyone into a podunk establishment.

Back on topic though went in for my 15k service last Thursday only 3 3rd gens all 16's on the lot. Dallas superstore has 4 17's coming in at the end of August. Talked to the sales manager good friend of mine he said they are already at 40k msrp starting. Laughable. I'll never buy a Tacoma after this already told my wife. If we had kids would have been an easy choice f150 lariat 4x4 with 5.0 and still would only pay 3 grand more.

If you would check it was for 2016, not even a year old. Worked out just fine.:yes::yes:
    Do research before you post.

No such thing as a 2016 Ridgeline.

Where did you find a 2016 Ridgeline? I want a pic of that.
Who needs to research before posting now?

I've seen a few go for more than a new one.

There are many reasons people trade early. That amount nationwide for a truck that's been out a year isn't too alarming. Here's my quick search for the 2017 Ridgeline used. 1000, and they've been out only months. They are also rated very high which means trying to relate these numbers directly to quality is not valid. If this site proves anything it may be that people just don't do enough research before purchasing a vehicle. Holds true for other makes/models as well!

Edit: this is my quick search using the guidelines in this thread. It appears that both searches are yielding new vehicles alongside used, even though used are the selected parameter.

Edit: here's Tacoma with same criteria.

Are you sure that is used, because that is the going rate for a new RT. The RT is the base trim.

It's used. If I were searching new that number would easily be larger.

I was just editing: it's entirely possible that the search result is pulling both up and that they are not registered properly.

I am just trying to be fair here. 1000 used 2017 Ridgelines just looked out of place. If we are going to compare we need accurate results.
1000 of any used vehicle would look out of place.

I agree, and now searching through my used Tacoma results there are new trucks in there too.

Tacoma vs. ridgeline theory= still needs data.

Cargurus web search results= proven unreliable for this data!

I've had four Tacoma's in the last year. Three were new. Had a 2007 base Tacoma. Traded it for a new 2015 Tacoma access cab. Traded the 2015 for a 2016 Tacoma SR access cab. And lastly, I traded the SR for a 2016 Tacoma SR5 access cab. Lost a bundle, but life is short and money seems to always come around. May keep the SR5 for at least a year.

All were low mileage and never driven off paved roads. Current SR5 was purchased 3 February, 2016. Six months later, I just hit the 600 mile mark.

Even with accurate numbers of used Taco vs RL, this still does not tell us why? A trade in vehicle that is less than a year old does not necessarily mean quality issues or the vehicle sucks. It could be a number of resaons, such as buyer did not research enough and vehicle did not fit needs, buyer had some financial issues come up and had to get out of that vehicle, buyer saw something else that he liked better. Just because Smitty saw Tacos at the Chevy dealer does not meant they were traded in for a chevy truck. They could have been traded in for a Chevy Spark for all we know, or maybe that dealership had a used Ford Raptor that the Taco owner wanted instead, just too many variables to go claiming there are issues with the vehicles in question.

If they'd only researched on Tacoma World they'd have been more knowledgable buyers
