How do you know its burning oil?
I have been here awhile and yours would be the first I have read about here. They can burn oil but only in super steep conditions offroad.

The Problem is when I start it and for about 30 seconds after words little puffs of white smoke come out. Is it normal for that to happen? Weather is about 60° so it's not that.

Did you recently have an oil change done?

Sounds like maybe residual oil burning off. Have you checked for fluid leaks? Can / have you smelled the smoke and can you describe it to us?

The dealership supposedly did a oil change before I bought it. I've only put 200 miles on it. The smell of the exhaust Smells kind of rich but then again all I owned was Chevy's before now.

You have port and direct injection going on the startup. You may see the same during the cleaning cycle of direct injectors

Lol. Normal. Condensation in the exhaust system burning off on a cold start. All vehicles do this... Burning oil would be blueish smoke & you'd smell it.

Blue smoke is oil and will hang around after you start the truck. If it's white and it goes away it's usually condensation.

White smoke that disapates quickly is water condensation, a normal byproduct of internal combustion. It is more noticeable on coolers days and after a cold start up. On cooler days, the condensation can form larger clouds, especially during acceleration.

Blue smoke that hangs in the air after start up would be oil burning.

White smoke that hangs in the air and smells sweet is coolant burning.

And grey to black smoke that hangs in the air is unburnt fuel.

White smoke is generally coolant getting in the combustion chamber. usually if coolant it will have a sweet smell. Blue smoke can be oil, or the engine is running rich. I'd keep an eye on the level for both.

it is normal. That is not oil that is simply condensation from your exhaust. oil burns bluish smoke.

    FEW

    used with unquantifiable factors

total miles ( ???????) .....................type of usage

    mostly bump/grind commuter...................or hi-way

type oil used from break in to date

all could contribute to start up oil smoke

look at plugs in proper order their condition tells much

while they are out cold leak down test.......cold compression test will tell more

    label/number plugs

write down data for both tests

After much research and your responses, I've decided it's definitely condensation. What type of 0w20 do you guys like the most?

My old Jetta had a leaking oil pan and on start up would release a cloud of blueish white smoke that would linger for a bit. Was even worse in summer heat after the car sat for a day or two.

    Neighbors hated it
