It sure has been. I’ve been through the car wash quite a few times this winter in an attempt to keep that crap off my truck. Where about in central PA do you hail from? I’m just a bit west of Lewistown.

No pics but currently have two puke stained rugs hanging out in the bed waiting for delivery to the cleaners. Wasn’t on my list of “why you buy a truck” reasons but I think it is now.

 

That’s some awful salt, pretty bad here too. I’ve never seen it get this nasty

Sweet Jesus my dad does this with a 3/4 Ram. I can’t imagine what it would feel like with a Tacoma. I hope those are bone dry

 

I did something similar like 10 years ago when i was young and dumb.
I knew it was overweight but didnt realize how overweight it would be.

edit* in my defence i had only owned 3/4 ton trucks before this so payload weight wasn’t something i thought about much lol

 

Haha oh man that tailgate is crying.

I think the worst I’ve done is a semi engine block on an old C10. It was loaded and unloaded by a forklift on a pallet. But similarly it was on the bump stops for a slowwww 15-20 miles.

Blew the differential out of my S10 ZR2 doing 80 MPH on the highway. That was quite a ride, let me tell ya! True to form though the old girl held it together long enough for me to exit the highway and pull into a ride share parking lot spewing a cloud of gear oil and sounding like a jet coming in for a landing.

Thanks to car-part. and few calls to scrap yards my trusty Tacoma and I swooped in for the rescue today. Got a cherry ZR2 rear axle assembly, way nicer than the one that blew!
