I had a house built to lock up (framed, insulated, and siding and gypsum board put up), everything else from 23 yards of gravel, navvy jack, topsoil and driveway chip to Allen blocks, fridge, dryer, cabinets, dishwasher and solid oak hardwood floors was hauled and installed in my new home in this truck (or on a bicycle trailer;).) The first image below is leaving at the end of the summer with all my tools and 150lbs of apples in the cab from the tree in the yard.

Saturday I picked up a Cub Cadet 3225 shaft drive garden tractor and stuffed it in the bed of my 2.7L/5MT access cab. The GT weighs 800lbs w/o the deck and the 60" cut shaft-drive deck weighs 300lbs. Every bump I hit was hitting the bump stops. I'd say she was maxed out. Hauled it from 2hrs South of me out of Chetocah, OK

Yes. I did buy another one awhile back with a 44" deck. I left the deck on by putting my car ramps in the truck and driving up on them which let the deck go over the inner fender wells.

Your the first person to notice. I think it has helped a somewhat noticeable amount with going by semis on the highway. It also has helped with high winds also. I dont know much about fuel economy though but that's not a big deal. I dont have a tester but I dont think I hear as much wind noise but that could just be me. If you are interested I can send you what I used or more pics.

I don't have the OEM bumper anymore, so it wouldn't do me any good. You're just the first person I've ever seen put one of those ON the truck. Most people take them off to increase ground clearance.

...that said, more and more manufacturers are installing them, so I wondered if you saw any noticeable gains in MPG (or anything else). Sounds like wind noise is the primary benefit unless I'm reading your post wrong.

That and less felt pull from wind and trucks. Also my lower bar (cant think of the correct name) has some rust on it so it kind of makes it look a little cleaner. Since I'm really only doing on road driving I dont need the clearance and if I needed to take it off theres only 6 bolts holding it on.

I don't think it's that or anything mechanical. It's only when I get a good gust of wind. When it's a nice day with little wind it's dead straight going down the road. I think the cap might amplify it due to more surface area. My father's f350 had a cap when he got it and it did the exact same thing when it was windy and when he sold the cap there was much less pull than before.

Nothing fantastic, already unloaded the 4x4's -
Starting the outdoor-kitchen build with side-setup for the wood-fired-pizza-oven.
Will post pix of the final results in a few weeks.
