Been there done that, 3 times now, but heads up... I line the bottom with a whopper blue tarp. Keeps the riff-raff out of the tail-gate area and after all is
said and done I take my hand-held Ryobi battery operated blower and give the bed a good clean-out. Works like a champ... wife thought I was crazy wanting
that thing but I use it everywhere - garage shop, back patio, even indoors to blow out dust and junk from under the beds etc when running the vac.

It seems very few actually use their truck as a truck.

This time I didn't even put a bed cover on it. It was always off anyway because I was hauling stuff.

Actually got the perfect Tacoma for me. An OR 4wd with no sunroof, zero packages or options. Probably the cheapest TRD OR 4wd you can get. Fits my needs perfectly.

Tonneau or cap? I'm limited a lot by my cap but I make it work because I like being able to have a larger space out of the elements when compared to the space you have with a tonneau.

Nothing. I have too much varied stuff to have either. I used to have a cover but it was off more than it was on. I had a palm tree in the bed last week!

Same here. Nothing fancy on mine and I use pretty much every feature on the truck but really only wish mine had bluetooth.
