    I have a 2nd gen TRD Sport wheel that I wanted refinished. Alloy Wheel Repair quoted me $600 for 4 wheel 17”. I didn’t do it yet.

    Discount Tire messed up one of mine and sent it somewhere locally to get refinished. Came back perfect in a couple days. Might call and ask who they use for that kind of thing.

    Contact any used car dealership and ask who they use. There are guys with trailers that go to dealers every day to repair used car wheels. They are often pretty cheap too since they dont have much overhead. They straighten, paint, everything right there inside of a little trailer.

    Tried to drive the Gandy Dancer today (from the north). State forest roads at Holyoke are closed, and a sign with a clear (no trucks) logo was visible over in WI. Thinking about trying it from the south next week.

    Spring time restrictions for forest roads are on in places at the moment to prevent rutting and destruction of roads. Forestry has a page for you to check state forest or trails for closure or restrictions.

    Best way to know when it will open is to call or email the area office and ask.

    The spring thaw is starting to end. The Spider Lake trails in the Foot Hills State Forest near Pine River is listed as opening today. I’m planning on going there Saturday or Sunday. The Iron Range OHV park and Mesabi Mountain are also listed as open.

    I did part of the Gandy Dancer in March. It about shook my teeth out.

    And that is why restrictions are slowly coming off. Normally takes a while for things to get graded too if it is a road to get graded at all.
