the 2020s are absolute garbage. I just got my 2018 totaled and bought a 2020 and I am so upset at the changes made. They took everything that made Toyotas the best and cheaped out and half-assed a try to be like chevy and ford.

on an unrelated note, anyone want to trade their 2018 for a 2020? Will hear reasonable offers because I don't think I will be having this one for the 10 years I planned on having my 18

what changes do you not like? the '18s and '20s are almost the exact same. The big change was '17 up to '18 with the TSS and then '19 up to '20 with Apple Car Play

and what truck did you end up with? you get that 6MT?....... lol

I don't understand what the difference between an 18 and a 20 is enough to make you go off. They are basically the same truck, assuming you got the same options. If you have an AT I had heard even the shifting was improved yet again.

I’ll confirm annoyances. The interior feels cheap. And that reddish color around the gauges and infotainment. Reminded me of hot import nights.

No idea. The ‘20 interior felt cheap compared to my ‘12

The seats are nice, but fussy compared to most automatic seats.
The touchscreen isn't 100% touchscreen it has those stupid buttons and is a wasted display compared to the 18 tech.
Entune is terrible (agreed with by the sales guy). Apple play is fine, but the read out isn't good at all.
There is no maps sd that there was in the 18--so you could have a map at all times without needing your phone.
There is no CD player (I think that should tell you about my curmudgeon attitude.)
They took out the long bed storage out--which was perfect for hitches.
I swear to christ the rear windows have been rounded but haven't done a back to back.

I am also pissed because I missed out on a cement truck by an hour, then bought a magnetic grey, and then the bastard fell through.

So I am just a venting SOB. But I still would have it over a Colorado or a Ranger, so here we are.

I know this is all first world belly aching, but I waited 3 years to get the 18 cuz it seemed perfect and now I have a consolation.

I can’t trade you because my 19 also doesn’t have the driver side bed storage. Dammit!

So 19 is the culprit...I just don't know why they are getting worse on storage. I love living in the back of my tacoma on long trips and to lose that storage is just another thing I need to find somewhere else.

Yea, I didn’t even know until I went to throw my stuff in there from my 2012, and the storage wasn’t there. Not exactly sure the point of that.

And the 2012 had the side pockets up front too.

    My biggest complaints:

Powerband was too linear, felt boring through the revs. Also felt underpowered.

    Trans was always hunting.

    Steering was heavier.

Truck tramlines more than my lifted rig

Blind spots were larger, rear window was smaller, and just overall vision from the driver seat being reduced. That hood line... goodness.

    The looks are, well, bleh.

I’m at 97k on the ‘12, tacking on 6k/yr, I’ll have it for a long time.

I don’t have too many complaints with my 19. Ovtune has really eliminated any hunting, and the power is there for everything I need. I find it to be a good truck. Not for everyone Though. loved my 12, but I was racking up the miles.

It’s a pretty solid year, I’ve had zero issues. Definitely not looking to get rid of it but everything is always negotiable as far as I’m concerned lol
