New join from Minnesota. Just got back from a 2k+ mile trip to a number of national parks including Yellowstone. (Picture: my Tacoma at Roaring Mountain, Yellowstone.)

OK - I held off on saying anything until it was all finished. TL;DR: I definitely recommend them.

There was an issue with a bearing that was supposed to come with the kit and didn't, so needed to be overnighted. Due to my own timeline, they weren't able to do a full break-in like they wanted, so I did it. I waited to test the 4wd until I was on a dirt road and could go slow ~ glad I did. There was a grinding noise so I had to take the truck back. There was no issue in 2wd at any speed, it was only when I engaged 4wd. I called them Monday (picked the truck up on Friday afternoon and didn't test 4wd until Friday evening) and although I know they are very busy, they were able to take a look at the truck and replicate the issue and had it fixed within an hour and a half of me dropping it off Monday afternoon/evening. There was a bolt that came loose so they tightened it back up and staked it so it wouldn't back off again. So ultimately, there was a couple issues with the install, but they handled both, communicated well, and I recommend them. They had great customer service and it didn't matter which person I was talking to on the phone. My only gripe is how far away they are from me, but that isn't anything they can solve.

Nice! My wife and I did that run earlier this year! Hope you had a good time and I hope the people weren't as clueless as they were when we went through!

Anyone have any experience with 4 wheel parts and service in Ham Lake? Not the site it linked to.

You mean TGK (formerly Hooze 4x4)?

If so, interested as well. They are just up the road from me, so would be good to know if they are a reliable place to bring my truck if I decide on a lift or something else is needed.

My options are them or the real 4wheel parts in Brooklyn Park. I know they are reliable and good but I've heard that they are a little spendy. I want to do the CMC soon. I will be looking for someone to do some gears and other odds and ends eventually.
Edit: I just looked up the TGK you mentioned, I was talking about the shop just past them a min they have been 4wheel parts for a long time now. I see their adds on Craig's list for parts install.

That's debatable. LOL it is amazing out there and only like 8 hours away. If you haven't been to the Big Horn Mts I suggest getting out there. NO ONE out there and free camping!

My girlfriend and I spent 10 days this summer out there. I will say the best kept secrets I have been to! Waterfalls, amazing hikes, epic camps, every single night we were next to a river or lake. And I dont have a huge lift or tires and I took on the hardest tracks we could find.
