Thanks! I just sent them an email inquiring about my fox's. Luckily for me they are about 10 mins up the road.

I've had that question as well.

I also have wondered how one determines if they need to be rebuilt and if its worth having them rebuilt as part of a scheduled maintenance rather than just waiting for obvious signs of failure. I've watched a video on how to rebuild Kings and the majority of the process is replacing seals and oil rings. If the oil seal fails, it should be obvious because the oil will leak out and be visible (I think). I'm not sure how you would know if the other o-rings and seals failed.

I'm also not sure if a o-ring/seal failure would cause further damage to the shock. One possible issue is if the outer wiper seal failed, it could allow contaminants into the shock and cause further damage to the inner seals.

So I'm still undecided on when or if I should send my Kings off to be rebuilt. It's not like I'm racing my truck such that I need to be constantly rebuilding it. I do take it out to off-road parks several times a year though and the shocks have to endure Minnesota winters.

Yeah thats where I am at. Id rather make sure they are good to go for a few years instead of pulling them off next year to have them rebuilt. The ones I got aren't leaking at all but the lower bushings don't seem right. One is bigger then the other on the rears and the fronts aren't even the same thickness unless something came unseated.

This is probably a long shot but does anyone have a used set of bilstein 5100 or eibachs they are looking to sell?

I'll have some nitrochargers for sale some time here. they are about 3 years old and need some paint but I'll let them go cheap when I take them off.

I've got an Icon stage 4 that is sitting in my garage. The fronts should be rebuilt.

If I didn't have one I would be doing that same thing. You can easily get twice as much for it.

Yeah massive windows on it. I like it and the front bumper but I can't tell which one it is.

So I reached out to that Elite Shocks in Ramsey 2 weeks ago and never got a response from them. They seem to be more for circle track racers. I did however find The Shock Shop in Becker and reached out to them and they got back to me right away. They said I can come by the shop anytime to have them look at my shocks and do any works that needs to be done on my Fox's. Seems like a legit place. I will let you know after I go in there tonight how they are.

Well happy to say the shocks I bought used do not need to be rebuilt! Happy to hear that. But in better news anyone who has Fox shocks now has a place to get them rebuilt north of the cities. I stopped into The Shock Shop in Becker and Willie is a stand up guy! Took about 15 mins to look over all four and replaced a couple o-rings and topped off some Nitrogen and I am good to go. Asked him how much and he said $10 for the nitro. I gave him 20 for being so cool. I sat and talked with him for a bit and asked him about his business. He usually does ATV, snowmobile and bike suspension but he will work on any Fox shocks (he said he doesn't do Kings and has had bad experiences trying). He is busy right now with snow machines but does auto year round. I told him I was going to refer some of you guys to him and was happy to hear it. He said he is currently about 3 to 4 weeks out but also if its your daily he will get them done in a couple days for you when you make an appointment. Looks like he can do Elka's also. He did say also that he is not a auto dealer so he can't get big replacement parts but can install them if you get them, but any seals, o-rings, and most bushings are the same for ATVs so he has those on hand and can get shafts also but not top hats or lower ends.

Also whos got the lifted red 2.0 gen with gold rims, I think it was a frontrunner rack on front and a leitner bed rack that was driving down hwy 10 tonight? I waved but couldn't tell if I got one back. Nice rig!

I'm going to be putting my RTT up for sale soon. Figured I toss it on here first incase any other Tacoma owners in the area would want it.
TuffStuff Alpha II. Its been an amazing tent but we bought a travel trailer and need to shed some weight off the truck. In excellent condition. Still smells new inside somehow. Only issue is there is a small crack in the front of the shell about an inch long. Hasn't caused any issues at all. $1500 OBO
