Tacomas in Minnesota?

I can't remember if I have asked but does anyone know a good place to powder coat my sliders? I was suggested New Image Coating in Lino. Anyone know if they are any good?

 

Don’t know about New Image, but Preferred Powder is a solid shop up in Elk River.

Thanks I just called them and they were very helpful over the phone. They don't do sand blasting though and I need to get them blasted before I can powder coat so I will be looking for one of those also. They suggested JV Industries in St Michael but I didn't get an answer from them.

 

Ah, gotcha. Can’t help with the sandblasting. Let us know which way you go.

 

dang what were they painted with when you got them?

 

I bought them back in 2019 almost 4 years to the date actually. They were powder coated when I got them from RCI. This last few months have really taken a toll on them for some reason. They still had paint on the top plates only a couple months ago. I found Adrenaline customs in White bear does blasting and coating. He said it is usually about $30-40 per linear foot but it really depends on how long the blasting takes. So for about $300 I'm guessing they should be good as new.

I'll let you all know how it goes and how they turn out. I might go with a textured black also that he suggested.

 

Going to get mine hot-dip galvanized then coated. Tired of rock chips ruining my day.

Anyone interested in a Tuffstuff Awning? 4.5x6ft $150 only used it once. I keep finding stuff in the garage I'm not using.

 

Rob over at Adrenaline Customs in White Bear Lake is a really cool guy. He said he has done a lot of blasting and coating for Tacoma's. Said he has seen a couple sets of RCI sliders like mine along with some front and rear bumpers from C4 and CBI. Going to be closer to $500 for mine since they are so bad but in 2 weeks we will see how they turn out.

 

Has anyone ever ordered anything through St. Cloud Toyota? I placed an order online to be shipped to my house earlier this week and I haven't received any sort of confirmation email or communication as to when I might receive it. I was charged the money right away. Just wondering if this is normal.

 

I haven't ever ordered from there, but I have picked up stuff from there. They are not the cheapest dealer at all but better then Coon Rapids. they dont have the best shipping times from what I have heard. I have ordered from McGeorge Toyota a few times and they have always been good and fast.

 

CR Toyota known to be expensive? They are very close to me, so that's where I usually go for service etc. (Though I wouldn't buy a new car from them.)
