Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Cool beans. That park is a ton of fun on a quad. Don't have to creep and crawl. Can cover a lot of ground quickly. And if it has been wet the puddles make for good splashin'. Although the red clay permanently stains any clothing you're wearing that day.

Hey Dave I'm in Chaska. This is a great group. I've not seen your truck around I go through Wac town all the time. My brother lives in Interlachen neighborhood just below Target. He's got a red 80 series cruiser out in his driveway.

I've had the truck for a couple months now,
I got it with just the ARB bumper, I did the OME suspension and rack, tent, and tires.
I drive co 10 a lot and go through Chaska regularly so I'm sure you'll see me.
I don't plan to leave the RTT on all the time, I also have a tonneau.
Feel free to wave me over if you see me

Seeing as there's talk of the OHV Park, who all is coming to our Open House the third weekend in May?

Guided tours of the park focusing on the easy-moderate trails - though we typically split out an 'advanced' group in the afternoon, hot dogs and stuff for lunch, small raffle, annnnnnd it's free. (Bonus, this is the one weekend of the year you do not need the OHV sticker on your truck to enter the park, so if you're looking to try it out, there's no better time!)

    Camping at Sherwood Forest campground.

We run this event every year! Third weekend in May.

Also, we just launched our groups public FB page. Annnnnd we have our forums up at the nsw4x4.com link above. Wolf is the reg password if you're wanting to join up.

We are planning on posting all future runs to the FB page as well, though they won't be as big as the Open House.

I have a newfound respect for rust.

I spent 2 hours today under the truck with a grinding wheel. Mostly it was rust on the weld-on sliders, which never got a good paint job to begin with, but I'm also seeing some areas where the frame is starting to begin its downward spiral. Up until this point I've basically been "f it yolo" about rust, but I think I'll start spending 30 minutes twice a year with some fluid film down there. The bottom surface rust will be easy enough to treat with grinding and paint. But it's up in the channels that will need the fluid film I think.

The 4-month old leaf packs also had a comical amount of rust on them already.

    Tomorrow the paint goes on.

I like a lot of things about MN and WI. Rust ain't one of them. Can't believe those springs are only a few months old.

Just let it go guys you can't stop the decay at best you can slow it down. My old neighbor used to park his truck over a sprinkler in his yard for about an hour every spring and he swore by that he also sprayed wd40 in the drain holes on everything, but the truck still disintegrated.

IMG_1460.jpg The best part about owning a late 2nd gen. These guys are beating down my door to get my truck back they would probably change their tune if they knew about the 15-20K in body damage and that every body panel on the truck has been repainted except the bed which has both bed sides bent up 4" and small hail dings. Then there's the aftermarket suspension rusty welded sliders, and plate front bumper......Yeeeaah.
