Also, should I bring something to cook? It's certainly no problem to grab something, I just don't want to show up empty-handed while everyone else chipped in! :notsure:

    I like these, Cole!

I've been thinking about redoing my ditch lights, and I was considering the Flex lights. They're so gdamn expensive though. You like them?

I'm also looking at the Rigid D-SS's, for a wider range.

Right now I have Rigid D2's Wide. They're really bright, but I want more.

I really enjoy them! However I've never had ditch lights before, so I'm not really sure how they compare to typical pods. The Flexes are only single LED, so if I had to guess they would be dimmer that the pods that have 4 LEDs or more in them.

I got mine secondhand off of the TW Marketplace for 200 bucks with the brackets included, so I was happy with the price. I recently changed to CBI brackets though. The CBIs have really good placement, I can barely see the lights from the driver's seat! For me, I guess I valued the look and small size of them more so than I cared about light output.

I'll grab some output shots for you at some point, it'll give me a good excuse to aim them finally!

idk about that. Not all LED's are created equal. From the stats, those Flex lights have a ton of output. But you're correct, they're only a single LED. I'm guessing they have pretty good projection. Since I'll never have any sort of light bar, I mount my "ditch" lights straight forward.

I have the CBI brackets too. Like them quite a bit. I "chopped" the Rigid mount a bit so they sit lower on the bracket. They were too high for my taste otherwise. Your's sit nice though, as is. In the end, I just think the Flex lights are sexy. And that's really what it's all about.

This is the key! I know the guy I got them from had his positioned forward, and that didn't look bad at all. I agree on no light bars though. On my 1st gen I have one in the bumper, but I justify it because it's hidden from sight and not obnoxious like those roof mounted bars I see in the high school lots all the time. For my 2nd gen I have dreams of getting an N-Fab "roll bar" for some round KC Daylighters instead!

I've also seen a few people run double Flex lights as their ditch lights, but in my personal opinion I think they would take up too much real estate. If I remember correctly I think I even saw someone who was running quads on each side

JB I’d be interested in your ditch lights if you’re going to upgrade just not until after WY.

Yeah, buddy. It wouldn't be for a while though. I might try to do suspension this year yet, which will be $$$.

Thinking about it. Wonder if they are making shatter.

But that wouldn't account for the bleach smell, unless they are using chlorinated brake cleaner for the dissolution phase.

I just tried the nutro-bullet in the inverter on 400 watts and we are OOONNN. Full on frozen margaritas on a hot summer Saturday can’t wait. I can’t believe it took so long to figure this out I am dropping one of these in my bugout kitchen for our road trips.
