Hey guys! I live up on the border of Blaine & Ham Lake and put an order in for a Tacoma (Cement Sport DCSB 6MT with Prem & Tech packages) that should be here around mid-September, so planning to join you soon, as long as there are no hiccups along the way. I've been researching the best way to protect it from rusting out in our glorious state, and it seems the most recommended thing is Fluid Film. Also seen mention of Ziebart, Line-X, and others here and there for undercoating. What do you use and how has it been working out? Not sure what the dealer has to offer, but I'm sure they'll try to sell me something when the time comes so thought it would be good to be prepared.

Any other accessories that are useful here? I'm thinking I'll have them put on the mudflaps to hopefully keep the salt spray down in the winter and get some all-weather mats (probably WeatherTech or Husky) of course.

    Hey all,

I know many people have done lifts on here and opinions have been poled...but IDK if stuff has changed since then so I wanted to ask because I have the funds and have been looking for a 3" lift kit

I have never lifted a truck before and I don't want my ride to get more rough than it is (2018 Offroad DCLB)

I would love for someone to school me up in this department if they could...

Sorry for the late reply. The summer has kept me pretty darn busy. I really like it. Looks great and only took a few minutes to install.

Going pretty well so far. They had to push my start date back 2 weeks, but they still paid me for it so I can't complain.

We pretty much did a circle around the whole thing. Did a couple hikes and trails up around Burgess, then hopped up to Montana for Devil Canyon. Came back down for Woodchuck Pass and Shell reservoir. Went to West Tensleep to climb the soul-crushing Cloud Peak. Then exited out by Buffalo.

Definitely looking foward to going back in a couple years.

It seems Fluid Film is the most popular method, so I'm leaning that way. Sounds like it needs to be re-applied every year, but one of the better and cheaper solutions. Unless the dealer has some better option for a sweet deal (haha) I'll probably try to do that. Going to start right away before winter hits this year and hopefully if I do it from new it will help extend the life of the truck and keeps it from getting rusty too quickly.

Yup, got in a bunch of fishing, a bit of camping and golf, and a long weekend trip to seattle to visit one of my friends.
