    Needs some TLC
    Lights work I installed LEDs
Right tire leaks but I think the spare is good
Bed is wearing out and should be replaced but you could nurse a year or so with the existing one
    Walls are functional if ugly.
Has a tilt but I have not used it in a long time
    4 by 8 bed

Has been a great trailer and I was going to fix it up this fall but my brother in law sold me his old all aluminum one at a great price so this one needs a new home.

Pay 12 dollars for the title duplicate. And some craft beer if you are so inclined.

I have a non-tacoma driving friend interested. Where are you located? He says he can grab it this weekend.

Yep. Was about knee deep. There was a string of cars up the hill dead, including the car hauler in the vid.

    Check out my builds! ----->
I've never been a diesel guy, but the ZR2 might be the first Colorado I haven't thought was ugly! Not to mention all the extra goodies on the Bison...

Out of curiosity why is a diesel motor better than gas? Do they have better torque curves or something?

Diesel is a more efficient use of energy.
My liberty CRD had the prior generation of the Colorado’s 2.8l. I would regularly see 31mpg with a lift, armor, and 32s.

Diesel has kind of lost its luster to me. It is such a high cost of entry + more expensive fill-ups (offset by mpg of course) + having to deal with all the new environmental crap (urea/DET/whatever). I get the torque is better but for the kind of loads we'd put in this size truck, I'm not sure it is worth it.

My neck couldnt take it when trying to read this on my desktop pc haha. ZR2 is pretty cool, but would never trade my tacoma for one. Also seen several people's airbags going off from light off roading. seems like more than just a couple rare instances. I don't really like the cab of the colorado tho because I love having a topper, I saw a colorado with the same ARE z series and the back door window/roof comes down so much it just doesn't match as well as the tacoma cam to a topper window. looked really weird.

I miss the little diesel. Full pack out load was 24-28mpg. Dragon a uhaul trailer with a 49 Chevy, 24mpg at 70mph on the cruise.

A weekend trip from Bloomington to cross lake to spider lake + wheeling and back takes two fillups in the taco. That little diesel would do it in less than 1/2 tank.

I would have given the Canyon a serious look if they had the Diesel ready when I bought my Taco.

A buddy of mine is already talking to dealers about a preorder for a 2.8 Bison.

It’s the Taco lack of power and awful fuel economy that kills me. I thought long and hard about a Colorado and forgive me even a JK. I’m leaning Tundra if I want more in 3-4 years. But let’s be honest buy a Chevy and you’re stuck with a Chevy. The 350 V8’s are notoriously reliable but every thing else rots off the truck, and they have lousy resale. The Toyota reliability and resale is why I bought a Taco. And why I’d do it again I just hope Toyota sees what these guys are doing.

As a concept truck, sure, that looks pretty cool, but you couldn't pay me to drive a Chevy. Maybe Ford could come out with something. The concept Bronco's have been looking pretty badass. And I too have always had a Tundra in the back of my mind. I'm with you, Aaron, the Taco's lack of power and shit fuel economy is kind of a buzzkill when we have to drive 2000 miles every trip we take. =/

But lets be honest, we all know what my next vehicle is going to be....

Tundra is too big for my needs, just like the Raptor and any other current full size. This big boys are nice till you need to be off-roading them. Too long, too wide, shit sight lines, and a nonexistent breakover.

I’ve been working from home 4x week for almost 4yrs, and will have to go back into the office for about 6mo for training. I am sure the gas mileage will start to bother me soon. Then again it’s winter so the taco will be in warm storage, so I’ll be driving the monty.

The conversation always comes back to fuel economy, and I feel your pain. Our trip this summer was just shy of 3k miles, last summer it was 5600. I stopped figuring out my economy, now it’s all about consumption on the trail; how long can I go before resupply. Everything short of a small displacement diesel is going to get shit mpg on the trail. Getting to the trail, well it’s cheaper than flying and a rental.

Wife and I have seriously talked about getting a sports mobile conversion sprinter. So much that we’ve toured a couple and driven a couple friends. While we are trekking with the kids, we take more challenging trails, where a sprinter is no bueno. It’s our 10yr plan. That or a Defender 110 TD5 and graft the hab to its roof.

My brother is talking about a trip to the Arctic Ocean I just did some quick numbers and I figured over 2$k in gas at our prices. Probably more like 4K, Cannukistan prices. His Cruiser is even worse he says 8-10 mpg trailer or no. Maybe worse in mountains we’ll see.

JB I think the Sprinter is ideal for that trip.
