Go with seat covers. Skip the steps - you'll never use them unless you're mega short. Tonneau cover only if you need to hide or cover stuff. I went with the Carhartt seat covers and have no regrets. The driver's side seat cover has so many stains now I can't imagine what the stock seat would have looked like if I hadn't covered it.

Steps are worthless in my opinion. They just collect sand and dirt and get caught up on stumps and stuff if you drive in the woods. Other big problem is in the winter time I guarantee you'll rub your leg on em getting in and out and there's nothing worse than getting to work in your clean khaki pants and having a mud stain on the inside of your pant leg where you bumped the step as you got in or out. Steps are right up there with bull bars in my opinion - waste-o-money.

Depends on what you use your truck for or want to use it for. Seat covers are definitely a solid one. First thing I did was get some Weathertech floor mats.

    As for the steps thing...

Sliders > Running Boards > Steps

If you do any sort of off-roading steps are a waste and will just get dented up or caught on something. Running boards like I have that are OEM and hug right up to the body won’t catch anything and still are useful as a step. Sliders are the biggest protection from body damage you can get if off-roading. It’s mostly up to what you plan to use your truck for. I could recommend a million different other things but it’s late and I’m just rambling at this point. Lol

Sliders were my first mod, other than my topper. I don't do any crazy off roading but they've definitely saved my truck a few times in the black hills on some rocky trails.

if you don't plan on doing anything like that, the sliders get in the way more than they help. They look cool though haha.

Can you give a better description of the noise? It happens only when shifting from 2nd to 3rd? Have you tried from other gears to 3rd?

Might not be a bad idea to take it to the dealer and have them take a look at it. Better to be paranoid than to be driving around with something messed up. Have you had a manual truck before? They definitely make more noise and clunk around a bit more than cars. Just the nature of a beefier transmission.

Yo, new Taco owner here. Just got my 19' Cavalry Blue OR DCSB in January. Already have 3500 miles on it. Have done C4 sliders, pop and lock, Switch pro 9100. Have the stuff to do a BLHM with RX350 projectors. Also have a Thinkware F800PRO to install. Plan to do sound deadner and HU and speaker update this summer... maybe... I'd be down for a meet and greet also. Would like to see some Tacos with mild lifts and see how they ride. Oh just got done doing an OVTune.... WOW, Taco feels like a normal truck now...
