Same truck but gets 60+ miles to the gallon. Is that asking too much?

Take the Tacoma back to the mini truck toyotas were initially known for. Recall the original 4 runner with removable top, or the Baja?

All I want is the people responsible for the last two generations of Tacomas to be removed from their post and sent to Siberia for re-education. There should be an entirely new team assigned with a directive NOT to use low quality steel in the frames and to not spend over ten years finding ways to cut costs and keep the prices high. I'm sure Toyota's bean counters are in love with this team, but its time to stop and fix a few things.

    Seriously though:

    Steel Bed
    Better Frame
Manual Windows/Locks as an option on all models
    V6 in 5-lug height
oil pressure gauge for instrument cluster
    2 stage paint job
    Stronger tailgate/Bed rails
    Better gas mileage

I agree with everything but the manual window/locks should only be for the base model

Toyota already makes trucks with most of these desired options! They are badged as Hilux or Landcruiser and only sold in every other country!

-Add the Lexus 4.6L V8 (301hp/326lb torque) engine as an option....now isnt this strange, almost same mpg as the current V6 that would tow like a hoss.
-6 speed auto tranny for lower rpms during hwy cruising and better mpg.
    -Auto climate control.
-Re-do the toyota tacoma marketing/package strategy to make it more conducive to buyers.

    That is all :)
