Hey, you only live once.. Take life by the reins and go for it.. (gas might be $10 a gallon next year) Texas isn't that far away..(Memphis to Knoxville 4.5 hours) (Little Rock to Knoxville 8 hours) (Dallas to Knoxville 12.5 hours) (San Antonio to Knoxville 16.25 hours) And I forgot to mention.. The following Monday Oct. 13th is a Legal holiday for most peeps (Columbus Day designated as a Federal Holiday)

Hmmm, it was in PA for the last 4 years.. Did you guys make it out to it either of those times? Not busting on you, but by moving it to a more central U.S. location.. It opens the doors for alot more peeps to be able to make the trip.. And, with luck and support.. One of these days it will be a National Tacoma meet..

Can't speak for the others, but I only got my Tacoma this year and that's when I first learned about this site. I know what you're saying though. Guess I should've bought a Taco sooner then I would've been able to participate! :)

I'm very excited to announce that BFGoodrich Tires is an official sponsor of Tacoberfest 2008!

We're still working out the details of everything, but during our big sponsored raffle Saturday night, we'll be drawing one lucky participant's name who will win one set of four BFGoodrich passenger or light truck tires (up to 17" rim and excluding Baja T/A, Krawler T/A, and the R1). What you'll receive is a certificate (straight from BFG corporate) that will get you one free set of tires of your choice (as long as it meets the above criteria).
Folks, this is like a $600 (+) raffle prize...

Remember, you must be registered to attend and be elgible to win. Registration for the event closes midnight the 26th of Sept...

A National meet? I hope you pass the torch ....cuz you don't need to be bustin your ass organizing this thing until you retire!!!!

Give yourself a rest! I know how much work you put into that thing. :D

We should have a good old fashioned Central PA meet & greet sometime this winter. To shake off the winter doldrums a bit eh?

Come' on Janster... have'nt you ever heard "Think big, or go home".. I personally think a National Meet would be an awesome sight.. Tacoma's crawling out of the wood work.. Maybe, even get Toyota's attention and they would send some one to listen to the owner's.. But, its not gonna happen over night and I've got Tacoberfest 2008 to worry about this year.. So... BTW There is still 2 hours and 15 minutes left to register..

National Meet would be cool.... but my point was... You already put way too much time into Octoberfest. Time to pass the torch - ya know? Time for you to sit back and relax. I know how much work you spend on this and it's FRICKEN a lot!!

Trust me, I am trying to pass the torch.. But, finding anyone that actually cares enough to try and do things right.. Well, lets just say the search continues..

Janster...have you ever been to any of the meets at Ray's? I went the last two years and yes, he puts alot of hard work into it. Everyone always has a great time tho.

Two yrs ago, one of the local dealerships brought a new FJ. A few of us took it to a nearby construction site to "test drive" it. :D

There just happened to be a huge mud puddle and we were all itching to drive through it. Needless to say, when we got back to Ray's everyone was like WTF?? cuz it was completely covered in mud.

Unfortunately, never been to one of his TacOberfests. I'm always working or the husband has other plans. I have no doubts they're a BLAST!

I know Ray from another club - he's a GREAT guy and a really good friend. He puts an unbelievable amount of time into the event and I worry about him sometimes. It's a lot of stress to carry around with ya. My Gawd, what he does for the Tacoma community - is similar to planning a frigin wedding (OR even worse!!).

Awesome about the FJ!! I wish I was wheeling more than I do. I really miss it.
