I think they totally effed up the Pilot...

My dad has a 2013 Honda Pilot Touring 4WD, which is the next-to-last year for the second generation. The second generation of Pilot at least looks angular and trucklike...

For 2015, they rounded it off and made it look like just about every other Crossover/soft-roader out there....

My dad's actually looks good. It can also tow about 4,500 pounds and tows our 17-foot boat with ease...

Look up "Black 2013 Honda Pilot Touring" on Google and that's pretty much what my dad drives...

I tried to embed a picture from Google on here, but ever since Google got sued by Getty Images and had to remove the "View Image" option, that's gotten obnoxiously hard to do!

    :annoyed:

You all need to watch the Bruce Willis movie " First kill" the son was driving a very nice Land Rover.
There is a line in it from the mom " don't take that you'll get stuck for sure, take the Ridgeline!"
    I just about pee'd myself laughing.

Yep, those two test vehicles have been making their way around. Let us know if you see any actual owners in the wild.

I think the new Ridgeline just looks weird. I kinda liked the old Ridgeline because it looked a bit like a Chevy Avalanche...

A vehicle, clearly based on the First Gen Ridgeline, was prominently featured in the latest Saints Row video games, first appearing in Saints Row the Third...

The vehicle in the game is called "Criminal" for some reason, and while I haven't played that game in years it was one of my favorite vehicles in the game!

    Saints Row the Third...

I don't know how many people on TW are familiar with the Saints Row franchise, but there were these freakishly huge clones called "Brutes" (cloned from an ex-KGB agent named Oleg), first introduced in Saints Row the Third...

Oleg (and the other Brutes) could obviously not fit in regular vehicles, and in fact could only ride in the bed of the Criminal, as seen here...

I liked the 1st gen Ridgeline's sci-fi military look. It was different but looked rugged in it's own way. The new El Odyssey body is just boring and soulless. Something a soccer mom drives and doesn't think twice about.

My uncle swears by Honda Elements, and it's been rumored for years that Honda is going to release an Element pickup. He currently owns a 2011 Honda Element LX FWD, and he says that if the pickup version ever goes into production, he's going to order one.

With regards to the Ridgeline, my uncle does not like it and says it is too big...

To give everyone an idea of the what kind of trucks my uncle likes, here's a picture of me sitting in one he used to own (and taught me how to drive stick in)!

My uncle prefers small trucks, up to and including the 1st Gen Taco. He's owned at least two 1st Gen Tacos, including a 2002 S-Runner that he bought brand new, but thinks 2nd and 3rd Gen Tacos are too big. He still tells me that I made an excellent choice in getting a Tacoma though. He's also owned probably a half-dozen Ford Rangers since 1994, one of which is a shop truck that replaced the '91 Toyota seen above...

I'm 50/50 about the old gen. I mean compared to other midsize, it looks bad, but good in it's own way. Though yeah, new gen is :crapstorm:
