I moved from California to Nevada when I was 19, had planned to when I was 18 but got chickenpox and was pretty sick. Friend of mine invited me to move here cause he said the snowboarding was unreal and that's why I went. It was far enough away from home but close enough for visits and I love it. Met my wife here and we tried to live in California but couldn't stand it so we moved back to Reno. Don't plan on leaving Nevada anytime soon.

After about 18 years in Michigan, (we don't need to go into THAT mistake), we moved to Colorado. Best move ever. There was one small hiccup when the company that moved me here decided to "right-size" the company. I'll let you guess whether the right size was larger or smaller. Another company picked me up immediately and that actually tied for the best move ever, I guess.

Changed city & state a few times & it's worked out for me.

Won't detail the reasons for my moves but, did so without a job, house or family/friends.

I'm still single but, have a decent job & a place...not sure I'll stay here but it's okay if I do.

What's driving your question? You moving?

Born and raised in south east michigan, and after 25 years I chased my dream job in idaho. Worked out great as everything is cheaper here and I have a nice seasonal job with the government. Moving to the mountains was an awesome choice as there's endless tracts of land to discover and explore. Now I'm just waiting on my tacoma to come in so I can get even deeper I to the woods. Great location, great price and some darn great views

Im want to move from VA to AZ in about 12 years (after I pay off my house and sell it) I dont know anyone there or have any leads on jobs. Just looking forward to hot weather. I still need to do more research, but that is the ultimate plan

Roughly every two years my wife and I move to a new city. It's great seeing new locations and traveling.

That sounds awesome. With my job I could travel for the summer then head back to home base for the winter. I definitely like seeing new places. Never stop exploring!

    Dodging tumbleweeds
In summer of 2010, I moved to South Carolina from Florida. Florida is all I've ever known and thats where the family is. I had spent a year and a half doing the whole long distance thing with a guy going to USC (Go cocks!) and I was tired of driving 1000+ miles every month to see him. I found a super awesome summer sublease and decided to just wing it for the summer to see how things worked out. I got the first job I applied for and rent was cheap, so I stayed. Things didn't work out with the ex, but I had a decent group of friends, I liked the distance from my family and the whole being an adult aspect was kinda cool. Almost six years later, I left Columbia and relocated to the upstate for work and a change of scenery. I spent 22 years near the beach in Florida, being near the mountains is a nice change of pace. I love the area and I love my new job. I just don't know if I see myself staying here long term. Long term goals are always fuzzy to me. All I want is to be happy. And right now I am happy. So life is good.
