TacoMods ECT Button Kit -Solid buy

Hello fellow TW’s,

With all the hype about Meso’s knob and ECT options, I wanted to give the TacoMods Kit a testimonial. I purchased the kit that was just the button and wiring, so full install required. Followed the instructions, drilled the knob, installed the button and ran the wiring. Bit tricky disassembling the interior bits, install for me prob took an hour all told. End result looks good and it’s a perfectly cromulent ECT solution.

Full disclosure - I bought this kit bc Meso’s kit was sold out and was unavailable. But MESO’s stuff is perpetually sold out, may as well be made from bits of unicorn and 4-leaf clover No disrespect intended Meso, you make great stuff, but it’s always like a Black Friday event trying to buy it

 

Looks good, I am waiting for these to come to sale soon, been waiting for many months.
I am sure one will come my way soon

 

Kit was only $45, so was affordable IMO

 

$45 to hit the same button on the dash? Is that correct? Like the location, but $45 dollars?

Hah, yep. You clearly don’t use ECT mode as often as most of us.

TacoMods button still allows use of dash button FYI, so doesn’t actually ‘replace’ it.

 

^x1. A very clean mod - it is up to the end user to decide whether to continue to use the dash ECT button in addition to the shift button or replace the ECT button with another switch.

BTW, @Tacowiede (Tacomods) also creates gorgeous knurled aluminum radio knobs.
