Hi everyone, this thread is just to brag about how much I love my truck. :)

I’m an archaeologist, and I recently bought 2009 4x4 base DCSB as a field vehicle. I do work in northern New Mexico, and spend a couple of hours each day off-road. I don’t look for trouble, but one-way I drive an hour and cross a creek 12 times, climb up some pretty rocky mesas, and drive through long stretches of deep sand.

I was happy to scrounge up enough money for the space and the 4x4, so I don’t have gnarly tires and good shocks like some of the badass trucks on this site. In fact, after buying the vehicle used I researched my Cyclone Radial SUV tires and google only gave me back horror stories and recall notices!

I have to say, this truck, even at bone stock (except for de-badging.. :)), drives like a tank. I’m super impressed, I wonder how much more awesome life would be with good 265s and a little lift?

Thanks everyone for this site, it’s great. Here’s a pic of my truck across the mesa from the Pueblo site I’m working on, it makes me happy to see it staring back at me:

Very cool! I always thought that I would enjoy doing that type of work. I'm 41 years old and can still remember the thrill of finding a fossil or an arrowhead when I was a kid.
