Help me ID this lift. I want give my lil taco the special treatment but I can’t seem to figure out the suspension lift I’ve got on her. The previous owner has no idea so I’m at a loss!
Suspension measuring at 18 1/2 compressed (on the ground)

And 20 3/4 uncompressed top to the center screw

Looks to be a 3 inch spacer. The cv angle doesn't look very happy.:(

Lift too high. Thats why its got new cv boots and it won't last very long. Better research how to do it yourself or its going to get expensive

    As everyone mentioned; crappy spacer.

I'd be more worried about all the paint used to cover the obvious rust.

How's the rear frame? Specifically where the front leaf pack eyelet mounts?

So, what do I do to fix the cv angle? Spacers? What parts would I need to buy to make it work? Or is there a way to lower it just a bit so it is at a better angle? I am already planning on replacing the suspension, I’m just new to the whole lifted experience so I’m looking for a jump off point!

Suspension components are a wear item; replace them with something more street and budget friendly like Monroe shocks front and rear (if you plan on staying on road), or something closer to factory like Bilstein 4600's.

The spacer is that hockey puck looking thing that sits on top of the front coilover; it sits between the coilover mounting point and coilover itself.

Again, I would look deeper into the whole rust thing like I suggested...

Or should I put a spacer between the lower arm and ball joint?

Wait what...are you not reading and looking at the same picture we are?

You need to remove the spacer to get rid of the lift.

The spacer sits on top of the coilover; it's round and has 3 holes which mount it above the coilover.

The bottom of the coilover is held by a single bolt, and the lower ball joint goes through the eyelet at the end of the control arm.

That would be absolutely impossible to use in any way, shape, or form down there.

I feel like you're just trolling now.

For the rust I am going to spend a couple days scraping and repainting in the dry months coming up. The frame seems to be in good shape, my Toyota specific mechanic agrees.

Good lord could you imagine how dangerous a lower ball joint spacer would be on these trucks, lol

Oh! Definitely not trolling! Just a rookie.

so if I get it, you’re saying I have a normal sized suspension, I just need to remove the spacer above the coil over and the problem will go away?

Then you'd know that the lower ball joint is a large joint that goes through the lower control arm.

Here is the top of a coilover

    37991B23-1A54-4B86-B672-632F47BC4E5D.jpg

    Completely different mounting.

And the spacer you need to get rid of
