Nice! Glad you got that knocked out now. Still a bummer we weren't able to do anything about it before though

Hey guys. I was pointed here by @G.T. about a Group Buy that I'm hosting for Mac's Trail D-Vise. We can get them at $30 off, and free shipping. Here's a link to the thread.

I also have a Group Buy going for All-Pro's UCA's. We'll get 20%, and free shipping with 20+ members. Here's the link.

I know this sounds like I'm blowing you off but I promise you that I want to help you do this. A friend from IH8MUD just texted me that his Land Cruiser has cleared customs at the Bridgeton port of entry - never knew there was one that close to us - and is flying in that morning and needs a ride that I promised him months ago that I'd give him when this happened. With that said I have to beg off yet again. I'd offer to help this weekend but I'm going to a Land Cruiser event in Tennessee and won't be available until sometime next week.

With that said, can any of you guys that are free soon get with Randy so he can get his new parts in?

What are you installing? Just a coilover setup or everything? I usually do it myself, and its not that bad.

Yeah, thats not too bad. Id be down to help you, but Ill be busy this weekend. All of that can be done at home and would save you some money.

To me, the worst part was the bolt for the UCA's. Front end can be done pretty quickly when you take the control arms out.

So I've been contemplating buying the AllPro "Sport" kit which consists of Bilstein 6112 front struts, 5100 rear shocks, Allpro AALs, and rear stainless steel brake lines. My goal is to fit Toyo 285s and level the truck. A couple questions for you all

    1. Is anyone against Bilstein? Trying to do this on a budget and they seem pretty reasonable
    2. Is anyone capable of assembling the 6112s or do I need to pay the extra $145 to have AllPro assemble?
    3. Is it required to purchase UCAs immediately or can I hold off without harming anything?
    4. Being my first lift kit on my first truck any advice is appreciated.

I like my 5100s, but I have no suspension mods. They are a good value and seem appropriate for what you are trying to do.

These springs are tough and I used 2 sets of spring compressors to do mine, and it is scary. There are shops that will assemble for you, but you have to call around. The chains like Firestone won't do it, I think Dobbs said they would but can't remember. I recall paying $40 each in the distant past. I would pay the $145 just to avoid the hassle.

I would do the UCA's at the same time and get it aligned once. You'll have to get it aligned even without them, then again once you add the UCA's, and you may not like how it drives without them.

This is just my opinion and what I would do, your wallet may have another viewpoint.
