Extremeterrain claims the DV8 Taco bumper clocks in at 150.

I'll give them this, its a solid piece of armor. Still on the heavy side for what I was wanting... :anonymous:

Hey @Sasquatch3153 .... wanna buy a bumper? lol

That's a good number. Add a winch (and lights) and it's golden.

I was shared a screenshot of a local KC fb group buy at coastal offroad. I believe something about 30% off shipping and 15% off order for 10+ people buying.

I liked their full tube front bumper and it says 104lbs..

So on a totally unrelated note, say I know this guy who just got his alignment done and it is set almost perfect, drives straight down the road BUT

Steering wheel is still off by a quarter of a rotation. I’m gonna dig into it tonight but if anyone has any ideas of how the steering shaft is setup that would be sweet. Tie rods are equal on both sides.

Is there a groove in the shaft that the coupler “locks” into? Any input would be cool.

I’m gonna dive into it tonight, see what I can find.

On my 85 Hilux and 95 Pathfinder you could pull the steering wheel off and recenter it yourself.

On the newer trucks, not so sure. Honestly I'd call the shop and give them a hey about it.

I saw that but these new trucks apparently you cannot do that.

The shop is a buddy’s dads. He’s been working on my family’s cars for over 10 years. He’s built all kinds of machines, owned the shop for over 40 years. So I know he did all he could. He said he straightened the wheel then it maxed out one side of the tie rod ends. All he can assume is that something got tweaked/ twisted with the impact.

I’ll get it back tonight and start looking into it.

On the tundra there’s a bolt under the dash so you can adjust the center of the wheel. Not sure if there’s one on the Tacoma too.

interesting. I’ll have to look. I just got it home so I’ll get working on it soon.

He was right, it drives straight as an arrow and the tie rods are equal on both sides. Just lay my head on the door panel and the wheel is straight!

In the thread about fitting 35s with no trimming they said something about the rack skipping teeth I think. You might have luck checking into that or asking in that thread because they might have encountered similar issues.
