Definitely looks like a early 1980's Hilux

Buy a fiskars shovel. Then if you do break it, they send you a new one no questions asked

or if you want some gram cred, get a DMOS. They are super cool but kinda spendy. They are super compact though

Not messing with short handle, or folding shovels ever again. Regular long handled spade for me. If a short handled shovel is nearby I’ll hand that one to my passenger.

Late '80s. The angle turned signals and the curvature on the fenders give that away. I had an 85. The one in this picture is definitely newer

So I get home from work and go get my ma, walking back to the truck.... I'm noticing that the grille and bumper are sagging by about 1mm driverside.

Must have come down off a rock a little harder than I thought.... :anonymous:

Lowes in Starkville Mississippi. It looks like a third-gen Toyota pickup to me from looking around. None of the Hiluxes look quite like it. I guess they Deisel swapped it and added a Toyota turbo diesel badge because it was either diesel or they rubbed soot all over the exhaust tip for some reason.

Early 90s. Neither HiLux or Taco so pickup truck? Like the body, worthless 3.0 V6. Mine is 92 4Runner based on this machine. The hood scoops and diesel badge look phony. Man Toyota has put out some junky looking wheels over the years. Not mine! 4BC6CE92-AD1C-4AED-A618-F6316189B72B.jpg

they claim to have trail rides of varying difficulties. Not sure if it's up to your crazy level, but it might be fun. :burnrubber:

Eh we'll see, I need to do a shakedown run with this Currie junk once I get it all buttoned up. Was up all night Friday and sheared the upper shock bolts, got it put together enough to drive it home Saturday morning. Yesterday I got the front basically done (need to pick up a 5/8 drill bit for the track bar), tonight I got the rear track bar relocation bracket on and sway bar extensions. Once I feel like being a man I’ll beat the nuts out of the shock mounts and get those on, then I just need to have the rear track bar bracket welded to the axle tube (going down Sunday morning).

Those wheels are classics. And the 16x6 version is very rare in North America.

Mine or Mr. Sippy’s? One more detail on his, it had manual lock outs which I’ve never seen before. Maybe it is a HiLux? Mine went to car shredder, traded in on cash for clunkers. Which actually was a pretty good deal, it had been totaled out on hail damage, bought it back from the insurance co for $150. Drove for 6 more years. Got $4500 on the trade in for a Highlander. You had to buy something that got better mpgs Than your trade in so couldn’t get a Tacoma or Tundra.
