The auto shifter isn't as bad as the manual. I still swapped it out on my SR5

 

I haven’t tried the 3rd Gen Pro knob, but it doesn’t look comfortable in the hand.
My delrin knob on my 2nd Gen feels nice in the hand.

 

Yeah but then you’d have an automatic with a mind of its own

I didnt realize the 2nd gens still used the ole pull and twist e-brake.

It’s an Ultragauge. I mounted it through one of the switch blanks... no room for a 2Lo switch now

 

That came up a while ago in this thread too, something about hand brake turns impressing women, ala Top Gear.

 

It really is the millennial anti-theft vehicle. Can’t figure out the three pedals, how to un-twist the ebrake... I have no markings on the shift knob, so no one can find reverse either.

 

Is it proper reverse? Or the silly Euro-verse we have now?

 

It’s a six-speed, so it’s to the left of 1st. You just have to push hard over past 1st to get there. Admittedly, when I test drove it, I made the dealer do it first because I thought I was going to break something. I was coming from a 6-speed VW Golf TDI, so it felt “normal” for me, but it’s probably Euro-trash.

I think the 5 speed, 4-cyl, it’s after 5th to keep that double-H.

 

Yeah, and alot of new cars have button activated electric parking brakes.
