That looks like so much fun. But seeing as I have no snorkel, no lift and street tires. I'd be more of a burden. So I'm gonna pass

Hey i have no snorkel or lift and I'm willing. I didn't see any of the guys in the video with one.

The street tires...now that's a different story lol

So when I went I was looking for camp, the first campsite I came across had a g37 parked there.... 99% of it is just wide dirt roads. Only 2 good water crossings but still didn't see an issue since they were only 2-3ft deep at most

    You'll be fine

Maybe we can just start a poll on months, after the month is decided we can poll for days once we are a month out.

I think a 3 day weekend would be ideal but not everyone gets holidays off or they have other events to attend to. The trip could be done on a 2 day weekend, I left on a friday night and was home saturday night. That was a push but I was able to see just about everything and cover 150miles offroad.

Regardless of when I think its best starting from the north, from the north you have camping right at the beginning. So if people left after work on a friday it will be easier to find camp, nothing worse then driving around in the dark in a unfamiliar area without service trying to find your group

The picture attached is the beginning of the north side, huge grass area available to camping along with right by the water camping

Sounds better to me as I work weekends. 2pto days vs 3 is better.

Last week of may I will likely be heading to UT/AZ for some wheeling if anyone is wanting to join. 5th gen 4runner from peoria will be joining, first couple of days will be spent in Moab on easy to moderate trails but after that its undecided

Its pretty hot that time, I went to Rock Therapy last year and it was 95+ the whole time. not terrible since its very dry compared to STL but still something that kinda sucked. Gotta bring tons of water, me and my dad went through about 8 bottles each running hells revenge.

All that said i would be interested in going still. Ive been wanting to go back since i only could do one trail last summer.

Yeah Moab in may is hot, reason why I always go in the winter plus it's less crowded. The guy with the 4runner has never been before and asked if I wanted to join him so that's partially why I considered it

Not a bad idea as it is a good meeting spot but you may have to detour a bit. I would suggest starting a little further south as that is near some of the deepest crossings if several in the group are not lifted/snorkeled. We turned back about 4 miles south of there at a different crossing. With 4" lift at the time and 37's on my Land Cruiser I had water over the hood but we also had a fairly wet week prior. Only 2 others from the TAC group attempted and there was definitely some misfires due to wet distributors.

Liking the ideas and suggestions. I suggested starting south to north but am not bound to that plan by any stretch.

I think Autumn would be a perfect time to go but to be honest, I'd like to go before then too. Having never been myself I have to rely on the guidance of others that have gone before.

Any objections to making the next mod day on February 18th? A few other folks that aren't on TW were a little sad that they didn't get enough advanced notice for the last one so I'm trying to get a date locked in now so I can get it on their calendar too.

Yeah I didn't have an issue with either when I went, but you never really know with water crossings how deep they are going to be in advance
