    Not off the truck yet.
But I’ll have a SOS streamline bumper powder coated for sale in the near future. If you’re interested let me know.

and I’m toying with the idea of selling my rear bumper. It’s a HC with bedside protection, non swing out. Perfect for you guys running under 33’s. Let me know if anyone is interested in this too. It’s only a few months only.

not dumping my SOS for any reason other than I got a hybrid front bumper from them and toying with the idea of getting a swing out bumper because of 35’s.

Yeah we rescheduled the event for this weekend. April 24th/ 25th is the new date. Same time, 10am. Same place, moonlight.

Figured this is a “stock truck event” most of the new guys won’t want to be sliding around in the mud. It was best to just reschedule it for (hopefully) better weather.

I am going to Pruitt this Sunday at 9am if anyone wants to join. We will break cvs, pop tires off the bead and maybe get wet? Regardless, it’ll be fun.

What’s your favorite freeze dried hiking/camping food? We have a couple of scout events coming up and the scouts can’t cook for each other due to restrictions. I bought some Trailtopia brand stuff to try out but open to suggestions especially if kids like it.

Edit: we’ve had the peach blueberry crisp already and it was really good so we ordered a couple more.

I have had a lot of the Wise, Katadyn, Backpackers Pantry, and Mountain House stuff at Philmont. My favorite (and the common favorite) is mountain house beef stroganoff followed by mountain house Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. I really like Katadyn fettuccini as well but some others don't like it as much. Backpackers pantry is garbage in my opinion unless you like shitting yourself. I have a bunch of the mountain house stuff somewhere but it is probably down in Mississippi.

Another good option that is kind of a happy medium between freeze dried and actual food is if you get canned chicken or turkey or whatever and make it with stuffing mix or mashed potatoes but it kind of ruins the easy cleanup of eating out of a bag that can be thrown away.

When BP started selling to Walmart their quality dropped considerably. Keen to find out what we think of the rest of this Trailtopia food and then thinking about trying “Good To-Go” foods afterwards. I’ll grab some katadyn meals as well.

I honestly don't know how they mess up their stuff so badly. When you rehydrate it the rice ends up still like bricks while the beans are falling apart mushy.

I think the katadyn stuff is called alpine aire or something like that. Patagonia also came out with a new line called Patagonia provisions that has a bunch of snacks and I figure they have some main courses by now. It looks good and I've thought about trying it but I'm still chipping away at a hoard from Philmont.

Are the restrictions due to the location you're headed to? Or are there new council restrictions?
