I'm curious. Was this to keep it from rolling over going up something steep or is there a different reason?

 

Yep basically, slipped off a ledge and ended up rolling in my Jeep. Going uphill with a ledge involved could really get your butt puckering. I made this one almost exactly the same as an 85 extra cab wheelbase

 

First vehicle I ever owned was an 85 Xtra cab

Hello, figured I would place this question here for your experience with the State of Missouri. My sister is a Doctor and is looking at accepting a contract with a hospital in the northern part of Missouri. She will be there for several years and I am wanting to know what the rust factor is and if they salt the roads. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 

Midwest so rust factor is pretty high. And winter time we throw down salt mixed with calcium

Just keep the car as clean as you can during the winter and clean the crap out of the undercarriage when it's over

 

I use fluid film every year. Taco has zero rust, and in addition to the weather driving it gets the hell beat out of it off road. Stuff works, and $60 insurance on the frame.

 

I’ve been doing some research and found that the new PB blaster Surface Shield is supposed to be better than fluid film. I bought a box of it and threw it on the Silverado. Will update over time.
