I hopped on the Alabama thread to see where some good trail spots are before I head that way for a few weeks and it’s mostly all people saying good morning and good night to each other. Polite as shit but damn seems wildly unnecessary haha.

Oh my god I can only imagine how frustrating it might be for the few dudes that’s actually wanna talk truck stuff. I would stop checking the thread after a while.

To be fair, TIS is kind of a joke of an information system, sometimes Reddit and Tacoma World are much faster and more reliable.

I'm totally with you on this. That's why we bought an Expedition EL when our 4th came along. Seats 8 and just as much cargo space as @CygnusX191 's tacomas. Minivans suck and when fully loaded with kids have the same space as the sequoia or less. Unfortunately Toyota refuses to build a vehicle comparable to the suburban/excursion/Expedition EL for whatever stupid reason.

 

I garuntee you the bed(s) of my truck(s) can hold more cargo than that ecoturd

As far as minivan space .... In terms of raw square footage, yes, I think you're correct with your assertation. However, it's more the fact that the cabin space is laid out like a small aircraft. You have room to move around, you have room to stretch your legs or turn sideways to get a snack out of the cooler, etc. That is much more difficult in an SUV setting.

And the whole reason Toyota refuses to get into ton inch wars with the little three. It's just a matter of cost and market share. They've determined through studies done every few years that pretty much every family or business or farm that owns an HD or Super duty truck or even excursion type vehicle etc. Also has smaller Toyota is available for checking fence lines, running errands, etc. It just wouldn't be worth a billions and investment for factories and new vehicles to not gain a large segment of market share. And frankly, with manufacturing union still being as strong as they are, it's doubtful that even if Toyota words are offer an HD Tundra that many people would be inclined to buy it. Not enough to justify building it and making a profit anyway. Especially with Ford at GM getting out of the compact car and sedan business, leaving Toyota to fight Honda and the Koreans for it, they've got plenty of market share and other segments.
